When comparing LCD TV vs. Plasma TVs, what’s better for my home theater?

When making a comparison of LCD TVs over Plasma TVs, the LCD TVs will win over the long run because they are cheaper to make and use a lot less electricity to operate, so you save money over the life of the LCD TV.  In the past, the features that hurt LCD TVs were “ghosting,” color distortion when viewed from an angle and the maximum size of the screen.  LCD manufacturers have dealt will all these issues so now their performance is very close to that of a Plasma TV.
